Google Ads Management Services From a Google Partner
We run Google Ads for ecommerce brands, manufacturers and local service businesses, and we measure the results against revenue you can find in your own books.

The short answer
Google Ads management services cover everything it takes to run paid search profitably: account audits, conversion tracking, campaign builds, bid and budget control, Shopping and Performance Max, retargeting and reporting. Front Row is a Google Partner agency. We manage the account, report revenue instead of clicks, and fix tracking gaps that make results look worse than they are.
What do Google Ads management services include?
Google Ads management services are the ongoing work of building, running and improving a company's paid campaigns on Google Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display and Performance Max. A good manager starts with measurement, then structure, then spend. Most accounts that struggle have a tracking or structure problem long before they have a bidding problem. Our work sits inside our wider paid media practice.
Front Row is a Google Partner agency, founded in 1973 and based in Edina, Minnesota. Our PPC team manages accounts for ecommerce brands, manufacturers and service businesses. We work from the same numbers your finance team uses: orders, revenue, margin and booked jobs. Platform-reported conversions are one input, never the final answer.
You get direct access to the account and a written plan each month. We audit before we change anything, so you know what we found and why we are changing it. If the account is healthy, we say so and leave it alone.

Who Our Google Ads Agency Work Fits
- Ecommerce brands spending $5,000 or more a month who want profit, not just ROAS.
- Manufacturers selling direct, through dealers or both, who need qualified leads.
- Local service businesses and professional firms that win work over the phone.
- Companies whose Google Ads results look good in the platform but not in the bank.
- Teams that fired a PPC agency, or a PPC agency fired them, and need a clean restart.
How We Work
A PPC Agency That Starts With Measurement
Most PPC agencies start with campaigns. We start with the question of what counts as a sale. Until tracking matches your real revenue, every optimization is a guess.
We keep the team small and senior. The people who audit your account also read your search terms every week.
- Month one is audit, tracking repair and a rebuilt plan.
- Months two and three are structure, testing and budget shifts.
- From month four the work is steady optimization and quarterly planning.
Credentials
What Being a Google Partner Agency Means
Google Partner is a program for agencies that manage Google Ads accounts. It signals that an agency meets Google's requirements for certification, spend and account performance. Front Row holds the Google Partner badge.
The badge is a floor, not a promise. What matters more is how an agency handles your money, your data and your reporting.
- Certified specialists work on your account.
- We still hold ourselves to your revenue, not Google's scorecard.
Campaigns
PPC Campaign Management by Intent, Not by Keyword Count
We organize campaigns around what a searcher wants. Someone typing your brand name needs a different budget and message than someone comparing three suppliers.
This structure shows you where money earns a return and where it only looks busy.
- Brand search protected and fully funded.
- Non-brand search split by category and buying stage.
- Shopping and Performance Max given clear roles and exclusions.
Retargeting
Retargeting That Respects the Buyer
Retargeting shows ads to people who already visited your site. Done well, it closes sales you would otherwise lose. Done badly, it follows a customer around the web for a month after they bought.
We set audience windows, exclude recent buyers and cap frequency. As a retargeting agency, we also judge it by incremental sales, since many of these buyers would have returned anyway.
- Cart and product-page viewers get the shortest windows.
- Past customers get separate offers, not discount ads.
- Sensitive categories follow Google's personalized advertising policies.
What does a Google Ads account audit find?
A Google Ads account audit finds the places where spend, tracking or structure is working against you. The same problems come up again and again, whatever the industry.
Conversion goals counted twice
A purchase can fire from a Google tag, a GA4 import and a third-party app at once. Each one reports a sale. The account then shows a ROAS that looks great, and the smart bidding strategy learns from inflated data. We have found this in large multi-campaign accounts.
Strong campaigns paused and replaced mid-season
A campaign that has finally learned its audience gets switched off for a fresh build in the middle of the busy season. The new one starts from zero, spends for weeks while it learns and rarely beats the old one. Changes belong between seasons, with a test, not in the middle of peak demand.
Budget-limited branded search
Branded search is the cheapest, highest-converting traffic an account has. When its daily budget runs out by lunchtime, competitors can bid on your name for the rest of the day. We treat brand budget as a floor.
These are examples, not a checklist. Every account has its own mix.
How do we manage a Google Ads account month to month?
We manage an account as a repeating cycle of audit, fix, build, test and report. The cycle never ends, but each loop starts from better data than the last.
- Audit We review tracking, structure, budgets, search terms and feeds, and write down what we find.
- Fix measurement We correct conversion goals, connect phone and CRM data and agree the break-even numbers.
- Build and restructure We set up campaigns by intent, with budgets tied to margin and clear roles for each campaign type.
- Test and optimize We review search terms weekly, test ads and audiences, and change one major variable at a time.
- Report and plan We report revenue and cost against targets, then plan the next month's budget and tests with you.
How much do Google Ads management services cost?
Google Ads management usually costs between 10% and 20% of monthly ad spend, or a flat monthly fee, with small accounts often paying a minimum. These are industry ranges drawn from published agency pricing guides, not Front Row's rate card.
| Model | Typical range | Best fit | Watch for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Percent of ad spend | 10% to 20% of monthly spend, often with a minimum | Growing budgets and ecommerce | Fee rises with spend, whether or not results do |
| Flat monthly fee | About $500 to $2,000 a month for small and mid-size accounts | Stable budgets and clear scope | Work the fee quietly excludes |
| Hybrid | A base fee plus a smaller percent, for example 5% | Mid-size and larger spenders | A cap on the percent at higher spend |
| One-time audit or setup | Priced per project | Teams with in-house managers | Whether the findings come with a fix plan |
What drives the price
- Monthly ad spend and the number of campaigns.
- Whether Shopping, feeds and Performance Max are in scope.
- Tracking and offline conversion work.
- Reporting depth and meeting cadence.
- Creative and landing page support.
Percent-of-spend pricing rewards an agency for raising your budget. Flat fees reward it for staying in scope. We quote fees case by case, often a hybrid of a base fee and a smaller percent, and tell you plainly how we charge before you sign. Ad spend is paid to Google directly and is never part of the fee.
How do you set up Google Ads conversion tracking and offline conversions?
Google Ads conversion tracking works by recording a defined action, such as a purchase or form fill, and tying it back to the ad click that started it. It only works if each action is counted once and only where it matters.
Clean up conversion goals first
We separate primary goals, which bidding learns from, from secondary goals, which are for observation. A purchase or qualified lead is primary. A page view or button click is not.
Bring in the sales Google cannot see
Many businesses close sales by phone, by quote or in the showroom. Google never sees those. Offline conversion imports send the sale back to Google using the original click ID or, with enhanced conversions for leads, hashed customer details, so bidding can learn which keywords produce revenue.
We tested this on a Shopify Plus brand selling customized products, where most revenue closes over the phone. In July 2026, 65% of its revenue came from phone or draft orders that Google never saw. Google reported 3.79x ROAS. Matching call recordings to orders gave an adjusted ROAS of 4.94x, so Google had understated returns by 30%.
The call-matching method behind that finding is described on our call tracking and attribution page. The same approach works for lead-based businesses that book jobs after a call.
- Enhanced conversions for web, using hashed first-party data.
- Call tracking with call-to-order matching.
- CRM and quote system uploads on a weekly or daily schedule.
- A reconciliation each month against actual orders.
How should you run Performance Max and Google Shopping campaigns?
Run Performance Max and Shopping with a clean product feed, clear exclusions and profit-based targets. Performance Max is Google's automated campaign type that serves ads across Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display, Discover, Gmail and Maps from one budget.
Automation spends well when it is given good inputs and fences. It spends badly when the feed is thin or when it quietly absorbs your brand traffic.
- Feed quality: titles, GTINs, images and product types decide where products show.
- Brand exclusions, so Performance Max does not claim sales branded search would have won.
- Asset groups by product line, not one group for the whole catalog.
- Targets set from margin, not from a round-number ROAS.
- A separate Shopping campaign where you need product-level control.
We cover feeds, product segmentation and bidding in detail on our ecommerce PPC and Google Shopping page. Manufacturers selling through dealers or direct should also read our page on PPC for manufacturers.
If most Performance Max conversions come from people who searched your name, it is capturing demand, not creating it.
What is retargeting and how does it work with Google Ads?
Retargeting is advertising to people who have already visited your site or used your product, using audience lists built from that activity. In Google Ads it runs through Display, YouTube, Demand Gen, Gmail and search audiences.
It works best as a small, tightly managed layer on top of prospecting. It does not replace it.
- Start with high-intent audiences: cart abandoners, product viewers and pricing page visitors.
- Exclude recent purchasers and set frequency caps.
- Match the ad to the last page viewed.
- Set window lengths by buying cycle: days for retail, months for equipment.
- Use customer lists to find similar buyers or to leave existing customers out.
The metric to watch is incremental sales, not last-click credit. Retargeting often claims credit for orders that were already coming. We compare against holdouts where volume allows. For social follow-up, our Meta advertising team runs the same audience logic on Facebook and Instagram.
How do you choose a PPC management company, and what mistakes should you avoid?
Choose a PPC management company that can show how it measures revenue, who will work on your account and what it does in the first 30 days. Credentials matter less than answers to those three questions.
Questions to ask
- Who owns the ad account? It should be yours, always.
- Can I see every setting, search term and change history?
- How do you handle phone and offline sales?
- What happens to my fee if my spend doubles?
- How long is the contract, and how do I leave?
Mistakes to avoid
- Hiring on a promised ROAS number before anyone has seen your margins.
- Judging results on clicks or impressions instead of revenue.
- Switching strategies every few weeks, which resets learning.
- Letting an agency run your account under its own login.
- Skipping the reporting conversation until month three.

How should Google Ads results be reported?
Google Ads results should be reported as revenue, cost and margin, set against a break-even target, with the platform's own numbers shown next to the reconciled ones.
- Revenue and orders or qualified leads, reconciled to your store, CRM or phone log.
- Cost per sale and cost per qualified lead.
- Break-even ROAS and how far above or below it each campaign sits.
- Brand versus non-brand and Shopping versus Performance Max splits.
- What we changed, what we learned and what we will test next.
We write a short monthly summary in plain language and hold a call to walk through it. Clients who want live views get a dashboard built on their own data; see our marketing reporting dashboards service.
Our public case study with My Custom Golf Ball shows what well-measured paid media can do: a +106% increase in conversion value of paid ads.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are Google Ads management services?
Google Ads management services are the ongoing work of running paid campaigns on Google: audits, tracking, campaign builds, bid and budget control, Shopping, Performance Max, retargeting and reporting. The agency makes changes in your account and reports on revenue. You keep ownership of the account and the data.
Is Front Row a Google Partner agency?
Yes. Front Row is a Google Partner. That means our team holds Google Ads certifications and manages accounts that meet Google's program requirements. We treat the badge as a baseline and judge our own work on your revenue and margin.
How much do Google Ads management services cost?
Industry pricing usually runs 10% to 20% of monthly ad spend or a flat fee, often $500 to $2,000 a month for small and mid-size accounts. These are general industry ranges, not our quote. Your price depends on spend, scope and tracking needs. We quote case by case and give a written fee before you start.
Is it better to pay a percent of spend or a flat fee?
Percent of spend scales with your budget and suits growing accounts. A flat fee gives predictable costs and suits stable budgets. Either can work. Ask for a cap on the percent at high spend and a clear list of what is included, so the fee does not grow faster than the work.
What is the difference between a PPC agency and a Google Ads agency?
A Google Ads agency works inside Google's platform. A PPC agency manages pay-per-click advertising across several platforms, such as Google, Microsoft and Meta. Most good PPC agencies lead with Google Ads. We manage Google, Shopping and Performance Max directly, and our Meta team handles social.
How long until Google Ads management shows results?
Tracking and structure fixes can show up within the first month. Smart bidding usually needs four to eight weeks of clean data to settle, and seasonal businesses need a full cycle to judge. We agree on what to look at each month so progress is visible before the final number is.
What is a Google Ads account audit?
An account audit is a structured review of tracking, campaign structure, budgets, keywords, ads and feeds. It ends in a written, ranked list of problems and fixes. We commonly find double-counted conversions, strong campaigns paused during peak season and branded search that runs out of budget by midday.
Can you track phone calls and offline sales in Google Ads?
Yes. We use call tracking and CRM or order data to match sales back to the ad click, then upload them to Google as offline conversions. For one customized-products brand, call matching showed Google had understated ROAS by 30%. See our call tracking and attribution page for the method.
Should I use Performance Max?
Often yes, for ecommerce with a strong feed, but not alone. Run it with brand exclusions, asset groups by product line and margin-based targets. Keep a standard Shopping or search campaign where you need control. We review where its conversions come from so it does not just claim branded sales.
Do you do retargeting?
Yes. We build audiences from site visitors, carts and customer lists and serve follow-up ads on Display, YouTube and Demand Gen. We exclude recent buyers, cap frequency and measure incremental sales. We also run retargeting on Meta through our social team when it fits your goals.
Who owns the Google Ads account?
You do. We work inside your account with manager access, so you can see every campaign, setting and change at any time. If we part ways, the account, history and data stay with you. Be cautious of any agency that runs your ads in an account it controls.
Do you work with businesses outside Minnesota?
Yes. Our office is in Edina, Minnesota, but we manage accounts for clients across the United States. Local clients can meet in person. See our Minneapolis PPC page for the local view, or call (952) 697-6015 to talk through your account.
